The delegation from Penza headed by the Chairman of the government Nikolay Simonov has gone on an official visit to Turkey to meet with the government and business officials.
Penza delegation includes Deputy Chairman of the government Andrey Luzgin, CEO of ‘Corporation for Penza Region Development’ Dmitry Polukarov, managers from the companies ‘Agro Eco’, ‘Troika’, ‘Parapharm’ and local businessmen.
On the first day of the visit Nikolay Simonov and Andrey Luzgin met with Ahmet Selamet, the 1st Deputy Chairman of Istanbul Municipial Council, and Aydar Gashigullin, a Trade Representative for Russia in Turkey. During the meeting, the parties discussed the perspectives and details of the development of mutual trade and cooperation.
Penza delegation is to take part in a large business forum and visit the International Food Products & Processing Technologies Exhibition ‘WorldFood Istanbul 2018’. Several bilateral and multilateral meetings with potential partners are planned to take place during the visit.
‘Building cooperation with partners in Turkey both in economics and investment spheres will have a positive effect on the economies of both countries and also become the basis for warm relations between Penza and Istanbul,’ noted Nikolay Simonov.
