The deployment of the largest in Russia and Europe vertically integrated factory producing elastic polyurethane foam located in Kuznetsk is a great achievement for the region, said the Governor Ivan Belozertsev. The volume of investments in the project will total over 3 billion rubles. As of today the Foundation for Industrial Development has assigned 500 million rubles in the form of easy loan for “Kuznetskiy Technopark” OJSC (affiliated to “FoamLine”).
The factory in Kuznetsk is the 11th facility of the company in Russia and former Commonwealth countries. Up to 30% of products are planned to be exported to Belarus, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, as well as Finland, Estonia, Germany and Turkey.
“We’ve done a lot to attract the investor to Penza, proved our advantages. The new facility means new jobs for Kuznetsk’s residents, a taxable base, development of concomitant productions – the district has a developed furniture manufacturing cluster. I am personally accompanying the investor and coordinating the project”, emphasized the Head of Penza region.
The production sites of the facility aggregate around 23 ha. In 2019 it is planned to reach the production volume of 10 000 tons, and the maximum output – 30 000 tons of elastic polyurethane foam per year – should be achieved by the factory in 2,5 – 3 years. By September the company plans to recruit and train 110 workers, some of them have already completed training at other “FoamLine’s” facilities. The client base of the new factory already includes leaders of the furniture manufacturing market.
“Modern technologies and a high level of automation make it possible to achieve the maximum operational efficiency. According to our estimates, it will exceed manifold the performance of similar productions in Russia, and the factory itself will be the largest in the country regarding the product yield”, said the holder of “FoamLine” company Artur Sogomonyan.
After the opening of the polyurethane foam factory the implementation of the project will continue. The next step will be the launch of mattress production on the same site. The investor is planning to put the second project with the capacity of 600 000 pieces per year and 120 jobs into operation in the second quarter of 2020.
