The head of the Penza region reported this during the working visit to Bekovsky sub-district on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
The governor visited one of three production sites of the Vasilievskaya Poultry Farm, where replacement birds have been reared since 2009. It houses 120,000 poultry. The production volumes of the enterprise have become stable. In the previous year, 138 thousand tonnes of poultry were produced. The products are supplied to many Russian regions and to several other countries.
Commenting on the enterprise’s performance, the governor noted good prospects for the development not only of this poultry farm, but also of the industry as a whole.
“We plan to lead poultry meat production in Russia. Today, our enterprises fully satisfy the demand for these products in the region. We are encouraging exports,” Ivan Belozertsev said.
The head of the region spoke with the poultry farm staff. He also studied the requests of residents and outlined the plans for developing remote settlements in the region.
“We have been increasing funding for the development of rural areas. We are working on creating favourable environment. We will repair roads and pavements,” Ivan Belozertsev stressed.
