Ivan Belozertsev summed up the year’s results of economic growth of the Penza region in his interview to ‘Kommersant’ on Friday, 14th of December.
The governor noted the marked growth of investment activity in the region.
‘Last year’s results showed the influx of 72.5 billion roubles, the growth rate was 107.6%. We are figuring that this year’s results will amount to 80 billion roubles, which is 111% as compared with the last year,’ said Ivan Belozertsev.
‘Penza region is one of the leaders in investment growth in the Volga Federal District. Over the last three years the density of small and medium business has doubled, now it is 35 SMEs per 1,000 people,’ he added.
The governor mentioned the achievements in the agri-business and talked about the scope of agricultureal produce in the Penza region.
He also enlarged on the changes of the system of social support, the imporvements in healthcare, and the staffing policy of hospitals and clinics.
Ivan Belozertsev also mentioned the works in improving the urban environment in Penza. In his interview the governor answered the questions concerning the victims of mismanaged residential building projects.
