The last in this year meeting of the Penza Legislative Assembly took place on Wednesday, December 19th. Among the issues discussed by the Assembly members were changes in social sphere, civil service and the work of local government, questions of state ownership. The 2019 budget of the Penza region was adopted by the majority of votes.
The governor of the Penza region summarized the results of the year 2018 for the Penza region. ‘The figures show it is a good year in terms of economy. The growth of manufacture was recorded as 104%. The received RF government grant support amounted to 232 billion roubles. The money was allocated to the region on the basis of evaluating its economic efficiency. The regional budget has grown by 5 billion roubles. The government of the Penza region has addressed all the social issues during this year. Next year we will continue our job. I am sure that the members present here, at the meeting of the Legislative Assembly, will agree that our cooperation will bring maximum benefit,’ said the governor.
Ivan Belozertsev also stressed the dynamic growth of small and medium business in the region, as well as the growing investments.‘Our major priorities for next year are healthcare, improving the life of people in villages and small towns, and nature protection. The members of the local government as well as the members of the legislation are doing everything to make the lives of our people better,’ said the governor at the end of the meeting.
