The major railway station of the regional centre and the transport section between Penza-1 and Bulychevo were inspected on Friday, 8 June 2018.
The governor of the Penza region together with Roman Saybatalov, Head of the Kuibyshev Railway, Russian Railways branch, Maksim Kiselev, Deputy Head of the Kuibyshev Railway for territorial administration, and accompanying officials followed the route for the fans of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. They estimated the capacity of the station in view of increased passenger traffic and the installed security systems.
Communication will be carried out in two languages – Russian and English. This applies to both the announcement of relevant information on train movement and the work of the timetable split-flap display.
The head of the region approved the dressed shop-window of Penza souvenirs and pointed out the need to place thematic football banners and greeting posters devoted to the World Cup at the station. He also gave instructions on the unified design of outlets operating at the railway facility.
“Let’s introduce proper order together, it should be a joint work,” Ivan Belozertsev appealed to the participants of the inspection group.
The commission members made a working trip from Penza-1 station to Bulychevo and Saransk stations on the self-propelled motor railway carriage. During the inspection, the governor ordered to take measures for cleaning the territories adjacent to the railway. This refers to the municipal facilities in the regional centre, as well as private property in Bessonovsky, Luninsky and Issinsky sub-districts of the Penza region.
According to the head of the Penza region, the key issues related to the welcome of the World Cup guests have been settled to date.“Currently, the Penza region is ready for welcoming and entertaining football fans. The conditions for comfortable accommodation of guests are created. There are some minor problems that will be cured before the start of the Football Championship. The crucial issue is to ensure safety of our guests, and we pay special attention to it,” Ivan Belozertsev stressed.
