On February 1st, 2019, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the RF President in Volga Federal District and the Governor of Penza region had a meeting in the regional government.
“Those facilities and sites we have visited today – “Veronica’s House” and “MedEng” enterprise – are well-known at the federal level, - noted Igor Komarov. – The support of physically-challenged people, modern medical technologies and products preserve health and extend life of our citizens, which is a priority objective set by the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin”.
The Plenipotentiary Envoy expressed his willingness to discuss problems of Penza’s healthcare and to seek solutions.
“I’m grateful for your high esteem regarding our work, the products of Penza regional biomedical cluster is important for the whole country, - pointed the Governor. – “Biomed”, embracing over 20 enterprises, manufactures cardiac valves, intervertebral disks, stents, which are applied in medical surgeries both in Russia and abroad. We are to continue the development of the cluster, as well as the entire Penza’s healthcare in general”.
“We are planning to construct a new building for the oncological dispensary, we are purchasing the equipment, opening new first-aid and obstetric stations in rural areas of Penza region, but there still remain some unsettled issues, - noted Ivan Belozertsev. – For instance, as long as 25 year ago in the city of Kuznetsk there was initiated the construction of a surgical building for the hospital, but due to a lack of financing it has been suspended. On my personal initiative the construction works have been resumed, as this hospital is an inter-district one, it renders medical services to several municipalities. The design estimates and construction documents have been prepared, the first stage of construction has been launched at the expense of regional funds, but we will truly appreciate, if the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia procures reserve funds and we receive at least partial support from the federal budget, as Penza region hasn’t reached the financial level of donating regions yet”.
“We brought up this question on the corresponding committee of the Federal Council and found understanding by chairwoman Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko and senators. I also kindly request your assistance and believe that with mutual efforts we will build this facility very much needed by residents of Penza region”, - concluded the Head of the region.
