The second stage - the overseas training of participants in the regional advanced training program for foreign language teachers from rural schools in 2019 - ended on November 29th. 6 English teachers and 6 German teachers completed training in the UK and Germany.
“All teachers successfully completed the training and received the corresponding of completion”, said Olga Meshcheryakova, Project Manager, Head of the International Relations Office of the Institute of International Cooperation of Penza State University.
“This is a very interesting experience. We were able to try ourselves both as students and as observers. Moreover, we worked in international groups where we couldn’t use our mother tongue, - shared her impressions Olga Kobzeva, a teacher of school No. 2 of Bashmakovo village and a participant of the training program in the German language. - For myself, I have developed a new form of working with children - infoboxes. And I’ll try to tell my colleagues how authentically German material is presented in the classroom by German educators”.
Reference. The advanced training program for teachers of foreign languages has been implemented in Penza region since 2017 at the initiative of Governor Ivan Belozertsev. More than 12 million rubles have been allocated from the regional budget for the program for three years. During this time, 180 teachers were able to take an intensive training course, and 36 of the best – go for training abroad.
