This was discussed at the briefing in the government on Monday, March 5, 2018. The head of the region referred to his meeting with the participants of the Youth Forum “Lastochka” (Swallow), during which the foreign citizens raised the problem of accommodation.
“The international students are pleased with the quality of education at Penza State University, but the living conditions are far from perfect. Let’s focus on the topic, address the issue, perhaps together with business and construction companies, under the terms of public-private partnership,” Ivan Belozertsev ordered.
He recalled that while addressing the Federal Assembly, the President of the Russian Federation urged to create the most favourable conditions for attracting young people from foreign states into the country.
“The process of obtaining funding takes much time. We need to look for the ways to solve the problem more quickly, and the number of international students in the Penza region will increase. They behave with dignity, they are socialised, they bring money to the region, and they are bearers of cultures that are interesting for our youth,” the governor noted.
