The results of the competition for providing the budgets of municipal sub-districts and city districts with subsidies within the state programme “Development of Culture and Tourism in the Penza Region in 2014 – 2020” were summed up. These subsidies are aimed at co-financing of the tourism development.
Four projects of Bessonovsky and Nikolsky sub-districts, the cities of Penza and Kuznetsk were submitted for the competition. The applicants presented the investment projects focused on the development of domestic tourism. In addition, they proved the economic effectiveness of their programmes. The review of each project was accompanied by discussion.
Following the competition, a subsidy of 1 million roubles are allotted to winners. They are:
– The Administration of the city of Penza with the project of creating sports, recreational and entertainment centre with four pistes, a snowboarding spot, an educational slope, an outdoor playset for children, and a tubing track near Zaseka recreation site.– Nikolsky sub-district of the Penza region with the project of equipping the tourist trail “The village of Karamaly as the centre of ethnic tourism in Nikolsky sub-district” or promoting the ethnic tourist trail in the village of Karamaly within the tourism development in Nikolsky sub-district.
