The contest of military skills for army trainees from different countries was opened on July 29th, 2018 at the training grounds of the Penza Military Equipment Academy.
The competitions were preceded by exhibition performances of members of Russian Army, Air Force and Navy Volunteer Society, music and dance groups. The musical and dance performances included the traditional songs and dances of the countries participants - Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Iran, Armenia, Uzbekistan.
The contest is part of IV International Army Skills Games and this year it has gathered the greatest number of participants in its history.
‘The main goal of the contest is to strengthen the system of army training. The competitions test the knowledge and skills of the trainees. They also help to raise the prestige of the Army service and demonstrate the modern weapons and equipment employed by the Army,’ said the chief judge Mikhail Filatov.
The contest of military skills is conducted in five
stages and will last seven days. Awarding the winners and the closing ceremony
will be conducted on the final day of the competitions, on August 5th.
