"Biotechnologies and Technosphere Safety" Department Staff of Penza State Technical University Awarded Prize of Russian Federation Government
Society 28.10.2020

The award ceremony was held on October 15, 2020 at the Government House in Moscow. This year, 38 scientists and teachers – authors of textbooks, scientific and practical developments, methodological materials and reference literature - were awarded the Russian Government prize.

Presenting the awards, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted that over the nearly fifteen-year history of the award, "more than 300 teachers and scientists have been awarded for their pedagogical skills and the creation of modern textbooks and manuals for schools. These are the authors of innovative educational programmes and original teaching methods. Their experience is worthy of publication".

The awardees included a team of developers of a set of textbooks, manuals and reference literature for training specialists in higher education institutions in the field of "Technosphere Security". In our region, environmental specialists and labour protection engineers are trained at the Penza State Technological University and it is no coincidence that two of the 5 authors-developers represent this University's "Biotechnology and Technosphere Safety" department: high rewards for creating high-quality textbooks for the educational system of the Russian Federation were given to the head of the department, doctor of technical sciences, professor K. Tarantseva and leading research worker A. Vetoshkin.

"This has been a joint work with colleagues from the Alekseyev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University and the Saint Petersburg State Technical Institute, – says Klara Tarantseva. "We are pleased that our collective work has been highly appreciated by our colleagues and awarded the 2020 Russian Government prize in education".

The winners were also awarded the honourary title of "Laureate of the Government of the Russian Federation in the Field of Education".
