Natalia Kantserova, the Penza Oblast prosecutor, together with Oleg Yagov, acting deputy chairman of the regional government, held a class with ninth-graders of the Penza Lyceum of Modern Management Technologies. The main topic of the lesson was the Basic Law of Russia - the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
During the event, Natalia Kantserova made students acquainted with the main provisions of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, its legal properties, focusing in more detail on the personal rights of a person and citizen, and gave examples of their defense from the prosecutor's practice.
The Penza Oblast prosecutor drew the schoolchildren's attention to the fact that legal norms are usually based on moral norms of human behaviour, and spoke about the traditions of the family and the state in our country.
In his address to students, Oleg Yagov stressed the rights of children, focusing on the constitutional provisions on education.
After answering the questions of the ninth-graders, the guests of the event presented the students and the Lyceum library with copies of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
After that, there was a meeting with the Lyceum teachers. They asked the guests a number of questions related to amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, distance education in the context of the pandemic, and social benefits provided for by regional legislation. The teachers received comprehensive answers to all their questions.
The "Prosecutor's School" social and educational project implemented by the regional prosecutor's office together with the Ministry of Education, will continue during the school year.
