The competition among athletes under 20 was held in the city of Skopje (North Macedonia).
Ali Ilyasov, a trainee of the Penza integrated Sports School of Olympic Reserve, performed brilliantly in the up-to-130-kg weight category and won the gold medal.
On his way to the final, the representative of the Penza Oblast confidently outperformed all his opponents. In the semifinal, he defeated Koppany Laszlo, an athlete from Hungary. In the decisive bout, our athlete faced Ivan Yankovsky (Ukraine) and won ahead of schedule with a score of 9:0.
