Delegation from West Kazakhstan Region on a visit to Penza

An official delegation from West Kazakhstan Region is visiting Penza with the aim of getting acquainted with the business potential, history and culture of the Penza region. In Penza they were met by the chairman of the regional government Nikolay Simonov.

The delegation from Kazakhstan includes the head of the Department of Business, Industrial, Innovations Development of the West Kazakhstan Region Arman Zhalmagambetov, chairman of the National Company ‘Social-Entrepreneurial Corporation ‘Oral’’ Diyas Djaninbekov, chief inspector of the West Kazakhstan regional government Khasen Toyasov, director of the regional office of Digital Transformation of Economy Almat Seytkulov, and others.  

A visit to Penza is one of the first steps in cooperation between the regions, as the Agreement on Cooperation in Economy, Science and Culture was signed at the end of 2017.

‘We have established good relations with Kazakhstan. The trade turnover has been steadily increasing, in 2017 it reached $ 66.1 million,’ noted the chairman of Penza government Nikolay Simonov.

He also talked on the efficiency of cluster development in economy, stressing the importance of businesses in the medical, machine-building, glass production and confectionary production clusters.

‘Penza producers take part in every single exhibition in Kazakhstan. Now we have to build productive relationships with your region’, said the government chairman.

‘Our aim is to create the conditions for business relations,’ he summed up.

Arman Zhalmagambetov talked on most successful branches of industry in the West Kazakhstan Region: oil-and-gas, machine building, metallurgical production and defense industries.

The region has cooperation links with Orenburg, Samara, and Saratov regions.

‘We have been conducting a joint event with Orenburg for 20 years, this Ural river rafting is a significant cultural and social event. Each year we host a business forum, which is an important platform for finding out the business opportunities,’ said the head of the Kazakhstan delegation.

‘Penza is not so far from us geographically. We are happy that we have signed the cooperation agreement, made the first step. I am sure our cooperation will contintue to grow,’ he said.

Arman Zhalmagambetov suggested the possibility of joint work in the sphere of servicing the oil-and-gas wells.

The visitors talked on the main cultural and natural attractions of the West Kazakhstan Region and suggested developing the tourism sector, including the tourism for children and youth. 

West Kazakhstan delegation is also to visit the science and technology park ‘Rameev’, industrial park ‘Soyuz’, centre of youth innovation activities ‘Vector’, and a number of industrial enterprises in Penza.
