Fifty agricultural industry units from Penza are participating in the 20th Golden Autumn exhibition conducted at the VNDH expo centre in Moscow. The huge range of agricultural produce is on display for the thousands of exhibition visitors: vegetables, meat and poultry, fish, alcoholic and soft drinks, milk and dairy products, flowers, honey, preserves, pasta, bread, confectionarries, syrups, and many others.
Russia’s Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, when on a tour of the exhibition, spoke in praise of the outstanding potential of the Penza region agriculture.
Ivan Belozertsev, Penza governor, talked with Dmitry Medvedev on the large projects carried out in the region by the leading agriculturalcompanies ‘Damate’, ‘Cherkizovo’, ‘Rusmolko’ and on the general state of affairs in the agricultural sector.
The governor stressed, that thanks to the support of the federal government, the agriculture in the Penza region is holding the leading positions in the Volga Federal District.
Dmitry Medvedev appreciated the scope and the diversity of the products and noted the remarkable exhibit - the huge figure of the turkey made of 500 kg of bread.
The Golden Autumn is the largest agricultural exhibition and forum that is coducted annualy in Moscow.
The motto of this year’s anniversary exhibition is ‘Opportunities Unlimited’, which reflect the main goal of the exposition, that is the display of the export potential of Russia’s agribusiness industry.
The exposition encompasses all spheres of agriculture in Russia. It is hosted by VDNH expo centre, pavilions No. 75, 69 and the open-air areas in front of them. The exhibition halls are: ‘Regions of Russia’, ‘Foreign countries’, ‘Agricultural machinery and equipment for agroindustrial complex’, ‘Animal husbandry and livestock breeding’, ‘Crop farming. Seed production’, ‘Animal husbandry equipment. Veterinary science. Animal feed’. The open-air exhibition will display large agricultural machinery. Alongside the exhibition, there is a Festival of National Cultures with food stalls representing national cuisine and the music entertainment highlighting the various cultural traditions in the RF.
In total, more than 60 Rusia’s regions and 15 foreign countries participate in the anniversary exhibition. Among the latter are: China, Ireland, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and others.
