The ‘Damate’ group of companies, leading turkey producer in the RF, is expanding its facilities in the Penza region, realizing the project in the Vadinsk district.

The estimated building costs are around 4 billion roubles. The farm will be equipped with the most advanced facilities and the latest development in poultry breeding technologies will be applied. The total capacity of the farm will be 1.5 million birds. The units output will be 34,000 tonnes of finished produce. The first birds will be brought to the farm by the end of November.

In total, nine poultry-breeding units will be built in the 2018-2020 period in the Vadinsk district. 150 new workplaces will be created at the farm.

‘The importance of this project for the Penza region can hardly be overestimated. The new workplaces will allow many people who had gone elsewhere in search of a job to come back home and earn very good salaries. These are also tax revenues. This is also the question of general food supply in the region. And of course, it is the question of better health. Turkey meat is considered to have more benefits than other sorts of meat. Hopefully, the level of turkey meat consumption will be the same in Russia as in some leading European countries,’ commented Ivan Belozertsev who visited the farm on Tuesday, November 13th.

‘We always try to support investors in the Penza region,’ he added.

The head of the ‘Damate’ group of companies Rashid Khairov thanked the governor for providing all the necessary support for the project.

‘Everything that the government of the Penza region promised to do and what we settled upon in our investment project is being executed precisely and on time,’ he said.
