The new developer ‘Stroyresurs’ will be starting work on the construction site, many months after all works had been halted.

The contract with the developer was signed on November 8th. The construction will cost 1,267,114,110 roubles and is to be finished by the end of 2020.

Ivan Belozertsev, governor of the Penza region, met with Stanislav Maslakov, head of ‘Stroyresurs’ on November 14th.

‘We have visited the site and assessed the amount of work to be done. The circus administration is now preparing all the paperwork, and the actual building will start next week, after all preliminary works are finished. We have set up our laboratory on site and examined the state of the units and the construction materials,’ said Stanislav Maslakov.

‘I want to stress that this is a very important and valuable project for the city. Previously, there were mistakes in the design plans, the construction had been stopped temporarily and then there was a string of problems, which made it impossible to continue the works. It was suggested that the building should be shut down, but I think with proper management the desired result can be achieved,’ said the governor.

The new developer ‘Stroyresurs’ has an experience in constructing circus building, in the list of finished projects are circuses in Tula and Ryazan.

‘We are ready to provide necessary support and we hope the project will be finished on time. Aleksandr Grishaev, Penza Minister for Construction and Roads, will be overseeing the construction works and Viktor Kuvaitsev, head of city government, will be responsible for providing assistance. I hope that if any problems appear they will be resolved quickly.

Everybody is looking forward to the new circus being finished. The old one was a legendary establishment, visited by generations of children. Moreover, the buiding is part of the central part of the city, which is now, thanks to our efforts and three years of extensive rebuilding and renovating, is becoming a joy to look at,’ said the governor.
