The results of the development of a complex farm in Bashmakovo district were assessed by the governor of the region Ivan Belozertsev, who visited it on Monday, November 19th.
Anatoly Larionov, a Moscow businessman, started the farming and processing enterprize in 2014. The company acquired 5,000 Ha of land, 3,300 Ha of this land hadn’t been in farming use for more than 20 years.
Among the plants currently grown at the farm are wheat, rye, flax, sunflower, soya. Over the years the company built the grain drying and processing unit, a storage unit for 7,000 tonnes of grain. The milk farm was restored, which is now operating 307 heads of cattle, including 110 head of milk cattle. Four tonnes of fry were released into the waters of the fish breeding pond. In 2018 the company built the complex for meat and fish processing and set up the retail outlet for their produce. The fields will be cultivated using advanced technologies, for that purpose the company bought 64 billion worth of agricultural machinery and 47 billion worth of additional equipment.
The farm employs 50 people, the greater part of them are from Kandievka village. The average employee’s salary is 21,000 roubles pcm.
The governor of the Penza region expressed his approval of the current development of the farm. ‘I am really happy to see that you are developing the production and creating new work places. We will always support farmers who make the disused lands productive again. We will definitely look at different ways of providing support,’ said the governor.
The Bashmakovo district is a place of several successful farms. In 2018 it became the winner of the regional competition in the categories crop farming, animal breeding and the overallfarming progress.
