Vladislav Filev, head of the ‘S7 Group’ holding, the largest Russian airline and aerospace company, paid a visit to the Special Design Turbochargers Bureau (SKBT company) in Penza.
The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the Penza regional government Nikolay Simonov and the deputy chairman Valery Bespalov.
Head of ‘S7 Group’ was impressed by the advanced tecnologies used in manufacturing of turbochargers, the current facilities and potential production capabilities of the Penza company that provides equipment for the aviation industry, as well as railway and land transport, power plants and oil extraction industry. The parties discussed the company plans and the use of the advanced facilities in production.
The Penza company was created in 1962 as a design bureau of a bigger company responsible for developing and manufacturing turbochachers for diesel and gas engines.
Over the time the small bureau grew to become an independent company with solid R&D base, production facilities over 8,000 m2, its own foundry and a test laboratory.
Currently it is one of the leading Russian companies in the design and manufacture of turbochargers for engines with output power in the range 300-5000 kW.
