The news was announced at the meeting on Wednesday, November 21st, at the event ‘Transport Week 2018’ in Moscow.
The Penza region was marked for the dilligent work in fulfilling the priority goals of the project ‘Safe quality roads’.
Among the best rated regions are also the Udmurt Republic and the Saratov region.
‘The results are of course deeply satisfying. We’ve kept up the speed, have not lowered the standards and showed good results in two consequtive years,’ said Ivan Belozertsev. ‘I think that the Ministry of Construction and Road Network of the Penza region, heads of local governments, construction companies - everybody did their job well,’ he added.
‘The quality of road surface works and long service life are our priorites. The works will continue next year, as there are some roads, especially in remote countryside areas, that need attention.
‘We will do everything possible to make all our roads meet the required
government standards, so that our people can have reliable communication links
and safer driving conditions,’ he concluded.
