The Council meeting took place in the framework of the Regional Forum of Entrepreneurs on Tuesday, May 28th, 2019.

“It is not just a meeting, it is a format of creative ideas exchange, common discussion of problems and joint search for solutions”, pointed Ivan Belozertsev.

He emphasized that small and medium business development was becoming crucial as it is this sector of the economy that provides employment for almost a third of the population of Penza region.

“Therefore I will always act towards business support declaring that this is a target for representatives of all branches of power, - added the governor. – At a meeting with the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin I proudly reported that the share of small and medium business in the GRP exceeded 30% - these indicators are higher than the average throughout Russia. The president has set an objective to continue the growth; it requires high involvement of the authorities in solving current problems of business”.

Ivan Belozertsev emphasized that this was an objective both for regional and municipal authorities.

“We need instantaneous reaction to problematic issues; it is unacceptable for an official to refuse meeting with an entrepreneur, finding an excuse in being busy, - stated the Head of the region. – Heads of municipal units must struggle for their entrepreneurs, generate support options for them – grants, legal and informational assistance. There must be conducted wok with the population, especially with youth who think about starting business. There must be organized seminars with invited experts and famous businessmen ready to share their experience. Be more initiative, the regional government will always back you up”.

At the meeting of the Council for Business and Competitiveness Development of the Government of Penza region businessmen had a chance to talk to heads of municipal units' administrations directly and discuss development possibilities of cooperatives, peculiarities of launching new productions, promoting Penza’s goods in trading networks, touristic market development and tax legislation observance.

“Today we are using the existing potential for regional development incompletely – let’s work together to change this situation”, summarized the Governor.
