The new coronavirus has forced Penza enterprises to change their approaches to production and create equipment that has never been produced in the oblast. In particular, an oxygen compressor unit was produced by Neotek (KompressornyeMashiny) production association.
Today, representatives of regional media visited the workshops and got acquainted with mobile compressor units, which are so necessary for providing oxygen to hospitals. The event was also attended by Mikhail Torgashin, acting Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy of the Penza Oblast.
The oxygen unit is one of the resuscitation equipment elements and is designed to make breathing apparatus, aspirators, inhalation and anaesthetic equipment work. Such a unit is a safer, more convenient, practical and cost-effective device that allows to maintain a constant supply of oxygen to patients, regardless of medical oxygen suppliers.
Mobile units are already used in the regional clinical hospital, Penza Regional Clinical Centre for Specialised Types of Medical Care, as well as in medical institutions of the Republic of Mari El and Crimea. Penza products will be delivered to other Russian regions soon.
Experts note that oxygen units will remain useful even after the pandemic - after all, medical institutions always have some need for oxygen, and thanks to such a unit, it is possible to save hundreds of lives.
