The Governor noted that in 2020, the foreign trade turnover of the Penza Oblast increased by 26%, with export increasing by 31%. Production equipment and food products were exported most often.
"I instruct Denis Bubnov, Deputy Chairman of the Penza Oblast Government, to create and lead a working group to study the best practices for selling our manufacturers' products on online trading platforms both in the region and on the federal level," Ivan Belozertsev instructed. "We should develop strategies and use the best of them as widely as we can".
He stressed that the Internet could become a new opportunity for the development of Penza clusters: clothing, furniture, and confectionery.
"The year 2020 has shown that e-commerce is very popular, but it is still not organised professionally in the region," the Governor stated. "It is necessary to hold seminars, training conferences and discuss the problems of promoting Penza products. We need a well-organised systematic work in this field".
