Governor Ivan Belozertsev held a business meeting with Maksim Protasov, Head of the independent non-profit organisation Russian Quality System (Roskachestvo), on Thursday, 15 March 2018.
The parties discussed issues related to qualifying goods manufactured in the Penza region and certified with a Quality Mark according to the special category, monitoring products manufactured and sold in the region, as well as introducing modern technologies of quality management at Penza enterprises.
“The struggle for product quality means the struggle for customers. We are interested in ensuring that goods produced in our region are the best and in demand both in Russia and abroad,” Ivan Belozertsev noted in his remarks upon signing the bilateral agreement.
“The Russian Quality System is a credible organisation. When it assigns a Quality Mark to products manufactured in the Penza region, this contributes to their active promotion and, as a result, to the increasing production volumes and, in general, to the social and economic development of the region,” he explained.
The head of the region emphasised the importance of organising the quality management processes at Penza enterprises that will undoubtedly enhance their competitiveness.
According to Maksim Protasov, Head of the Russian Quality System, the signed agreement allows intensifying efforts in several directions.
“The regional government can submit certain goods to our organisation for research, however, the quality of these goods may cause some concern. Moreover, the regional authorities are entitled to recommend the so-called highlights of the region, i.e. high-quality goods, which, perhaps, are not really known outside the Penza region,” the head of the Russian Quality System stated.
“Today we have discussed a range of Penza products that are certainly worth being studied by our organisation. If these products really meet the elevated standards, they deserve the Quality Mark and promotion in the Russian and international markets through all available tools,” he specified.
In addition, Maksim Protasov emphasised the significance of continuous quality control of manufactured goods and improvement of business processes in accordance with modern requirements.
