Mikhail Kotyukov and Ivan Belozertsev met in Moscow on Wednesday, 21st of November.

The aim of the meeting was  to discussthe university education in the Penza region.

One of the key aspects of the discussion was the education of future specialists of those professions that are of high importance for the economy of the Penza region. The governor talked about the plans to increase the number of state-subsidized university places for IT specialists, which will also entail the increase of corresponding teaching staff (teachers of foreign languages, mathematics, IT and physics).

‘IT technologids, robotics, sensory and wireless technologies - these are the major spheres of great economic importance,’ stresses the head of the region.

During the meeting the parties also discussed the pracitce of three-party agreements between the government of the Penza region, students and future employers.

‘The companies are future employers of our students and they have to participate in the educational process, stating priorities and forming the so-called ‘social demand’ for future employees of the type that they actually need. Our government will be happy to provide the necessary assistance,’ Ivan Belozertsev summed up.

Mikhail Kotyukov supported the ideas expressed by the governor of the Penza region.
