This year the industrial complex of the region maintains stable indicators of economic development, while industrial enterprises continue to increase their production capacities. The index of industrial production of the Penza region for the period January-September amounted to 103.6% compared to 2016.

For the above-mentioned period, the index of industrial production in manufacturing enterprises amounted to 103.9% against the same period last year. Index growth was provided by enterprises of the Penza region, specializing in the production of leather and leather goods - 167.6%; computers, electronic and optical products - 126.7%; processing of wood and manufacture of products from a tree - 122,75% and some others.

The achieved results allowed to increase the average monthly salary of workers in industry by 7.6%, in January-August this year it amounted to 27,700 rubles.
