Ten people from Penza region will enter a delegation from Russia at VI Russian-Chinese Youth Forum of the “Volga-Yangtze” format.
The major event is starting on July 16th, 2019, in the city of Changsha (Hunan province, the People’s Republic of China): Central South University will be holding the opening ceremony of VI Russian-Chinese Youth Forum in the “Volga-Yangtze” format to be attended by a member of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yong and a deputy envoy of the President of Russia in Volga Federal District Oleg Mashkovtsev.
The Russian delegation embraces over 130 representatives of student youth from universities of Volga Federal District. These students excel in studying; they are leaders of social youth life, talented artists and athletes. The Chinese delegation includes 160 students from provinces of the upper and middle flows of the Yangtze River.
During the opening of the Russian-Chinese Youth Forum a special “Vessel of Friendship” will be filled with waters from two rivers – Volga and Yangtze – thereby celebrating prolonged strong friendly relations of the two countries. The ceremony will be followed by a concert organized by Russian and Chinese students.
For ten days Russian students will be getting familiar with the work of local universities, high-tech enterprises, they will attend lectures by distinguished Chinese scientists, will learn about the history and traditional national culture of China and Hunan province. The Forum program provides for visits to well-known Chinese companies (Zoomlion, BROAD), a laboratory of railway traffic safety under the Ministry of Education of China, as well as to other cultural sights (homeland of Mao Zedong, “House of Liu Shaoqi” museum, Lu Zijian art gallery, ceramics center in Liling). The schedule also includes concerts, panel discussions, sport events, theme forums “The Day of Russia” and “The Day of China”. The Forum will be concluded on July 25th.
The event in the Russian-Chinese “Volga-Yangtze” format is held annually on a parity basis. The First Russian-Chinese Youth Forum was organized in 2014 in Samara region within “iVolga” Youth Forum of Volga Federal District. It welcomed 150 young representatives of the People’s Republic of China and 150 Russian students. In 2015 and 2017 the Forum took place in China (the city of Chengdu and Anhui province), and in 2016 and 2018 – on the premises of “iVolga” Youth Forum of Volga Federal District.
The Russian-Chinese Youth Forum is carried out in the framework of cooperation of Volga Federal District with provinces of the upper and middle flows of the Yangtze River. It is devoted to strengthening bilateral relations between the countries and creating a foundation for productive cooperation of the youth.
