A meeting with journalists was organized within a business visit of the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia to Penza region on Friday, July 26th, 2019.
The speaker of the State Duma of Russia was accompanied by the Governor of Penza region Ivan Belozertsev. He thanked Vyacheslav Volodin for the support offered to Penza region when dealing with crucial socially significant issues.
During the conversation with representatives of federal media agencies, regional TV channels, printed and online periodicals the speaker of the lower chamber of the Russian Parliament responded to questions regarding implementation of national projects, accomplishment of tasks set by the RF President in his message to the Federal Assembly.
“One of the main goals today is to improve the quality of life of Russian citizens and to prolong it”, explained the Head of the State Duma of Russia.
“As for the national projects, the first results will be tallied up at the end of this year. The tasks set by the President of Russia can only be settled jointly. It is important to have good coordination of work», he added.
Elected from Penza region, Vyacheslav Volodin shared his experience of implementing legislative initiatives, informed about passed laws of high social importance, spoke about new formats of work, such as extended parliamentary hearings. In particular, this way was discussed the question of palliative medical care, concerning which there was virtually no legislation regulating activities in this field.
The conversation also covered topics of the national idea, democratic procedures, parliamentary disciplines, preferential taxation of business, target training of medical personnel, as well as measures to deal with demographic problems.
“As for today, the legislative portfolio of the State Duma amounts 1360 bill drafts”, announced the exact figure the Speaker.
“It is especially important to reach direct-action laws, as now there are quite many so-called reference laws. The decision must be comprehensive, effective. We must eliminate legislative gaps, achieve efficiency and concreteness of law-regulating standards”, stated his position Vyacheslav Volodin.
He described several important laws recently passed, which regulate state support to families with children, protection of citizens from actions of collector agencies that are prohibited from alienating debtors’ only accommodation, prolongation of credit payments due to difficult life situation.
Besides, the Chairman gave a perspective of further legislative activities of the Lower Chamber of the Federal Assembly of Russia.
