A new glider called “Orange Demon” will embark on a journey around the world. In October, the capabilities of this aircraft were presented at the center of lightweight aviation and gliding of DOSAAF on the Shchyokino airfield in Moscow region.
“Russian “Orange Demon” jet gliders are our new invention which passed field testing, - claimed Nikolay Tugushev, the director of “Aviastroitel” LLC from Penza. – The AC-4 model is well-known in the world, and now a new updated version with jet thrust is available. АС-4-115 Jet was created as a result of our cooperation with the jet glider project’s author, an engineer, and designer – Alexander Kulishov”.
During the presentation, test pilots and glider pilots performed several spectacular laps on different configurations. The gliders proved to be excellent.
Reference. “Aviastroitel” is an enterprise from Penza that continues designing and manufacturing AC-series gliders, which were first produced over 30 years ago. At the present time in Russia, it is the only designer of sport gliders and moto-gliders of «D», «DM», «DU» series. The company has completed over 100 gliders. Most of them fly in Canada, the USA, New Zealand, England, and other countries.
