This year the theme of the game is the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 – it is dedicated to the year of Memory and Glory.
Traditionally the game will consist of 5 stages.
In November 2019, school qualifying rounds will be conducted. The winners of this stage will pass to the municipal qualifying stage.
The municipal stage will be held on December 13th, 2019, simultaneously in all municipal entities of the region. The theme of school and municipal games is “Periods and battles of the Great Patriotic War”.
In February 2020, the first regional qualifying stage will take place at the end of which a team of 25 10th-grade high-school students will be formed to participate in the final game hosted by Yu.P. Vyazemskiy.
In March 2020, the team of finalists will go through an educational session and the second regional stage where the members will be divided into agonists (playing on the paths) and theorists (responding to question in the house) for the final game.
The finals will take place in May 2020. The jury chairman will be Yu.P. Vyazemskiy, a professor at MGIMO University, the author and host of the “Clever ladies and gentlemen” TV game show.

According to the results of the last-year game devoted to the Year of Theatre in Russia, four school students from Penza region entered the list of participants of the TV game – Alexander Potapov (the school named after A.V. Kalyapin, Prigorodnoe village, Serdobsk district), Alyona Pavlovskaya (school No. 31 of Penza), Yuliya Azhnakina (school No. 8 of Kamenka), and Elizaveta Balakina (linguistic gymnasium No. 6 of Penza). The 30th of November will be their first shooting day.
