Regional seminar-lecture "Prevention of the Use of Nicotine-containing Mixtures among Children and Adolescents. Medical, Psychological, and Legal Aspects" was held on March 3 at the Youth Centre. Special emphasis was made on prevention measures among primary school children and adolescents.
Yuri Afanasyev, Director of the ANO Zashchita (Cherepovets, Russia), was a guest lecturer. The event was attended by more than 600 people including social educators, psychologists, class teachers, employees of the juvenile affairs and drug control departments and of the department of public safety and ensuring the activities of magistrates of the Penza Oblast.
During the event, participants were told about snus and nicotine-containing products as well as their negative impact on the child's organism. The seminar presented the regions' experience in organising the prevention of the distribution and use of nicotine-containing products. Multimedia presentations were shown to the attendees.
