The Governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev visited the agroholding "OHOTNO" within the framework of the working visit to the Bryansk region on November 9, 2017.
Agroholding unites under one corporate brand 5 modern high-tech enterprises. These are 6 pig-breeding complexes, a meat-chopping and meat-packing plant, a dairy farm, a feed mill, a vegetable storehouse, a construction organization and 30,000 hectares of farmland where fodder crops, potatoes and vegetables are grown.
"Everything is organized at a very high level, - Ivan Belozertsev noted. - Large areas, a scientific approach to the production process, attracting serious investments. This is an example of how to conduct work. Penza agrarians, engaged in potatoes and vegetables, will adopt positive experience".
The governor stressed that the Penza region holds the leading positions in the Volga Federal District in terms of the pace of agricultural development.
"People invest in the agrarian sphere. In two years we have introduced more than 160 thousand hectares of abandoned land into a crop rotation, turning plots of forested areas into arable lands. The land is expensive, this direction is interesting for investors", - the head of the region stated.
"After the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin imposed sanctions on the supply of agricultural products from abroad, the active support of the agricultural sector began, - he added. - Our farmers have risen, began to develop production, their products managed to enter almost all federal trading networks. I am sure if the state support continues, Russian agriculture will have a great future. In recent years, agriculture in the regions - both in the Bryansk and Penza regions - has taken a big step forward".
The governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz noted that just over 10 years ago at the site of the productive enterprises of the holding was just a field.
"The investor came, he took a chance. Today the holding is one of the leading producers of agricultural products in our region - he concluded. - Initiatives to develop the Russian agricultural complex are implemented in practice. For us, it is important to exchange experiences between regions so that we can take best practices from neighbors and successfully apply them on our native land.
