The production facility was created as part of an investment project implemented jointly with the Penza Oblast Government.
Oleg Melnichenko toured the new production site together with Russian Senator, representative of Penza Oblast in the Federation Council Nikolay Kondratyuk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Molkom JSC Rashid Khairov, and General Director of the plant Roman Korzhov.
The head of the region recalled that the agreement to launch the line was signed a year ago at the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"Today we saw a production facility for baby dairy products created from scratch. We supported Molkom in this project. All investments are paying off," noted Oleg Melnichenko. "A year has passed, and you see how quickly and efficiently everything has been done, installed, and launched."
The new section will produce milk, milkshakes, bifilife, kefir, ryazhenka, as well as ultrafiltered cottage cheese. Some of these products were previously produced by the enterprise, but the launch of new equipment allows for a significant increase in production volumes and the expansion of the baby food product line.
After reaching full capacity, the production volume of cottage cheese for baby food will increase fivefold – from 4.6 to 23 tons per day, and the total volume of milk, shakes, and fermented dairy products for children will increase from 16 to 46 tons per day. Thus, the enterprise will be able to provide quality dairy products to up to 490 thousand children daily.
"We are already meeting the demand for high-quality baby food from 46 regions of the country with Molkom's products," the Governor added.
Oleg Melnichenko emphasized that the project aligns with the task set by Russian President Vladimir Putin to develop the processing industry. Penza Oblast aims to process at least 70% of its agricultural raw materials.
"For us, the launch of the baby food complex is a strategic step in the enterprise's development. Molkom is consistently strengthening its baby, specialized, and functional dairy products division. Today, the market demands technology, safety, stable quality, and convenient formats," said Rashid Khairov.
"The organization of baby food production is a strategic task for preserving the nation's health. Children are the foundation for the prosperity of our country's future," Oleg Melnichenko concluded.
