The governor took part in the XVI congress of the Association "Union of Municipal Formations of the Penza Region", which took place in the regional Lermontov library on Monday, December 18, 2017.
The organization is created for interaction and protection of common interests of cities and districts of the region, coordination of their activities on social and economic development, raising the standard of living of the population, and the becoming of local self-government.
The Association unites over 320 municipalities of the region.
More than 500 representatives of local government arrived in Penza to sum up the results of joint work in 2017 in Penza came .
Ivan Belozertsev noted that during the discussion of the agenda of the meeting, emphasis should be placed on the forthcoming tasks.
"We need to give suggestions, raise and solve the problematic issues of the region's inhabitants," - the head of the region said.
"The Association should work more actively in terms of rendering assistance and support to municipalities, to seek and disseminate positive experience in the development of education, culture, health, social sphere, entrepreneurship, improvement and other spheres of activity," - Ivan Belozertsev pointed out.
He reported on the priority areas of joint work in 2018 and to improve the comfort of living in the settlements of the region.
At the end of the event Ivan Belozertsev awarded heads of municipal administrations for conscientious work and an active civil position.
The honorary sign "For the Glory of the Penza Land" was presented by the Governor to the head of the administration of the Nikolsky District Lyudmila Linina.
Also in the course of the meeting the ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest "The best specialist in local self-government of the Penza region" was held.
