Ivan Belozertsev participates in meeting of the Advisory Commission of the Russian Federation State Council

The meeting was held within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018 on Friday, 25 May 2018. It was chaired by Igor Levitin, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation.

The key topic of the discussion was the objectives set by President of Russia Vladimir Putin in the Executive Order No. 204 dated 7 May 2018 “On National Goals and Strategic Objectives of the Russian Federation through to 2024”.

Thus, the participants explored the establishment of effective management system and shift to customer-oriented activity of authorities, development of small business and reduced administrative pressure on entrepreneurs, road repair, and role of cooperatives in improving living standards in rural areas.

Several initiatives focused on digitising the economy and training personnel for the IT industry.

The governor of the Penza region repeatedly raised the issue of eliminating human resource gap in this area.

The project encouraging the best graduates in engineering and technology in the region was initiated by Ivan Belozertsev. During the first year of their work, these graduates will receive alongside with wages additional payments from the regional budget.

“In the Penza region, the promotion of technical creativity and teaching programming and STEM begin virtually in kindergarten. We opened Quantorium Children’s Technology Park. We are greatly investing in the development of robotics. We are modernising the system of teacher education in HEIs, as we understand that innovation and technical discoveries shape the future of the region and the country”, the governor stressed.

Igor Levitin highlighted the significance of the initiatives voiced at the meeting for the proper and effective fulfilment of the requirements set down by the Executive Order of the RF President.

“We considered a range of topics and would like you to submit your improvement proposals to the State Council. On their basis, we will create working groups with your participation. We are to outline these proposals at the meetings of the State Council,” he concluded.
