The final stage of the All-Russian Robot Olympiad 2018 was held in the IT-city of Innopolis (the Republic of Tatarstan) from 22 to 24 June 2018. More than 500 research and development engineers from 50 Russian regions participated in this skills competition.
This year the olympiad focused on the topic “Food matters”. It is linked to advancing sustainable agriculture, improving food quality, and ensuring food security.
The team of the Penza region included Daniil Dyachkov and Aleksandr Alyaev, students of Penza Lyceum of Information Systems and Technologies No. 73. Their supervisor is Stanislav Peganov. The young researchers are the winners of the regional Robotics Olympiad Penza-RRO 2018.
At the competition, the students presented the project “Aeroponic plant cultivation system”. As a result of the 2-day olympiad, Penza team won the 3rd place in the creative category of the older age group.
