The high-profile award ceremony took place in the Kremlin on Wednesday, 27 June 2018.

 The governor of the Penza region was presented with the major state award for high achievements in professional life, proactive public activities and many years of dedicated work.

 The Order of Honour was given to the head of the region by Vladimir Putin.

 “I thank the President of the Russian Federation for appreciating my work. However, this award belongs not only to me. These are the achievements of all residents of the Penza region, my team, my family and friends, because the Order is an assessment of our overall contribution to the social and economic development of our region and country as a whole. It is an indication that we are on the right track, but only at its very beginning. Much remains to be done for the prosperity of the Penza region, improved quality of life of its citizens and favourable environment,” Ivan Belozertsev emphasized.
