The Governor opened the Field Day, which was held in the "City Sputnik", in the Penza region on Saturday, July 15, 2017.
This is a specialized platform for demonstrating the capabilities of the region's agro-industrial complex, sharing experience and lessons learned among agricultural producers.
In his welcoming speech, the head of the region noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin pays close attention to the development of the country's agriculture, and regions are investing heavily in support of the industry, and our region in particular.
"We achieved good results in 2016, and the task for this year, at least, to reach the results of last year, a maximum - to harvest two million three hundred thousand tons of cereals, two million tons of beet, to increase the production of meat, milk, eggs, potatoes and other products, " - Ivan Belozertsev said.
He added that holding the event is a good opportunity to communicate and exchange best practices.
Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Oleg Melnichenko in his speech reminded that agriculture is the basis of the country's economy, without which other areas can not be developed.
"We are ready to give all kinds of support to the rural workers so that the policy of import substitution is fully implemented," - he said.
The chairman of the regional Legislative assembly Valery Lidin stressed that the Penza land was always famous for its fertility and the successes of the village workers.
"Today, representatives of the agrarian sector gathered to exchange experience, see advanced technological methods, see new equipment," - he said.
The central event of the "Field Day" was the presentation of new products of agricultural machinery, seed material, plant protection products, mineral fertilizers.
About 70 units of equipment were presented to the guests of the holiday, 20 leading Russian and foreign dealers and manufacturers made their way to Penza.
During the examination of the exposition, the governor gave a number of instructions to increase the productivity of Penza agricultural enterprises.
Thus, the head of the region drew attention to the fact that there should not be unused land on the territory of the municipal formations of the region. He also suggested the heads of farms, which are actively engaged in commissioning the forested land, share the experience of this work with beginners.
"Today it is necessary to buy new machinery, modern seed material and fertilizers," - the head of the region pointed out to agricultural producers.
"We should become the best region in the Volga Federal District in the field of agriculture," - the governor summed up.
The best products of Penza agrarians from all districts of the region were presented at the fair-presentation.
On the Fountain Square of the "City Sputnik" a cultural and entertainment program, a fair-sale of products of folk craftsmen, sports tournaments, competitions and master classes were held.
