The III All-Russian military history festival "Marsovo Pole", organized by the government of the Penza region, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Penza region, the administration of the city of Penza, the Penza regalia department of the Russian military historical society, the Penza State Local Lore Museum and military-historical club "Avanpost" will be held in Penza on August 12-13, 2017.
The events of the Patriotic War of 1812 will be reconstructed at the festival.
On the first day, August 12, at 15.00 in the square at the monument to Denis Davydov, a literary concert will commemorate the heroes of the war of 1812, and at 15.30 on Moscow street there will be a military parade of participants in the form of Russian and French regiments of the beginning of the XIX century.
On August 13, a historical camp of the Russian and French armies will unfold on the field in Shuist district, at the end of Budishchev's thoroughfare. Guests of the festival will be able to get acquainted with the army life of that time, taste the dishes of soldier's cuisine.
The main event will be the reconstruction of the battle of the Patriotic war of 1812. In the powder smoke, cavalry, infantry, artillery are mixed, the redoubt assault will be carried out, and the model of the wooden house will burn out from the explosions. Its art will be represented by clubs of historical reconstruction from 11 cities of the country.
The festival will have thematic interactive sites: cavalry, a young gunner's site, an infantry school, a hiking forge, a cast of tin soldiers, a historical shooting range of muzzle-loading weapons, a shooting range, a historical fencing site, a photo zone with historical costumes, a historic cuisine site, a historical marching office.
A concert of the ensemble "Cossack outpost" and other people's collectives of the city will be held at the end of the event.
