On March 1 in Moscow, on the Irina Viner-Usmanova gymnastics Palace stage in Luzhniki, a Charity Festival of children's dance "Svetlana-2020"was held, which was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The festival is held under the patronage of the outstanding Russian ballerina, people's artist of the Russian Federation, winner of the State prize of Russia, prima ballerina of the Bolshoi theatre of Russia and Etoile theatre La Scala Svetlana Zakharova. The forum provides an opportunity for young artists to express themselves on the professional stage and presents young talented ballet dancers, choreographic groups and dance trends to the audience. The first Festival was held in March 2015 on the stage of the "Russia" concert hall.
Within five years the Festival has gained a lot of fans and the status of one of the most remarkable and important events in the choreographic art world. Every year it attracts thousands of spectators and hundreds of young artists from all over the country. This year, 20 bands from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Magnitogorsk, Barnaul, Yoshkar-Ola, Neftekamsk, Makhachkala, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Sevastopol, Millerovo, Podolsk and Kraskovo performed on the capital's stage. Variety Theatre "Province" represented the Penza Oblast at the Festival.
"The festival 'Svetlana-2020' requires a very high level of performance, so all teams are strictly selected. Groups that have received the right to enter the Moscow stage are often winners of various competitions, including international ones. The festival was designed to show how talented Russian children are. "Svetlana' is not a competition, there are no losers. Everyone who took part is already a winner," Svetlana Zakharova, founder and artistic Director of the Festival explained.
