On June 10, the "Mnogonatsionalny Khorovod" festival of the Penza Oblast national autonomies dedicated to the Day of Russia was held in front of the Youth House.
During the festival, schoolchildren, college students and activists of public national associations visited exhibition sites of peoples living in the Penza Oblast showing national costumes, household items, literature and national crafts. Participants could watch master classes on the production of amulet dolls, wood carving, and the Tatar ornament drawing.
Opening the festival, Pavel Maslov, head of the Department of Internal Policy of the Penza Oblast Government, noted the contribution of national public organisations to the preservation of original national creativity, cultural heritage, and the harmonisation of interethnic relations among the youth of the Penza Oblast.
