From September 23 to December 5, 2021, in the halls of the S. Andriyaka Watercolours and Fine Arts Academy a large-scale exhibition "The Great Repin Students" will be held. It is aimed to show the talent of I. Repin, a teacher who raised a number of outstanding masters who determined the further development of Russian fine art.
The Penza Regional Art Gallery has several remarkable works and their participation in the projectwill be an extremely important for the inter-museum cooperation. They include paintings by A. Vakhrameyev and I. Goryushkin-Sorokopudov, V. Kuznetsov's Eve, M. Ivanov's Waiting for Reply and one of N. Petrov's drawings.
This project will become a significant event in the country's cultural life and give an additional impetus to further research of Repin's pedagogical heritage and his students' creative works.
