The XXII Youth Delphic Games of Russia were held in Saratov from April 21 to April 26, 2023. The Penza delegation returned from the trip with three gold medals, one silver, and two special prizes. Anastasiya Karacharova, a student of the A. A. Arkhangelsky Penza Music College (headed by T. G. Kondratieva), Georgy Ovechkin, a student of the K. A. Savitsky Penza Art College (teacher Denis Santalov), and Timur Dunin, a student of the V. P. Chekhov Children's Music School returned with medals
Maksim Borisov, a student of Penza State University, a Kvartal Lui resident, a student of the acting laboratory "First Violin" won a bronze medal under the guidance of Sergey Kazakov.
Special prizes were won by the Pokrov folklore ensemble of the Penza Music College and Kirill Tyulenev, a student of the Nikolsk District Children's Art School.
On Friday, April 28, the Penza Regional Philharmonic will host a press conference dedicated to the victory of Penza residents at the Delphic Games.
The Delphic Games are an effective method of finding and supporting young talents. This year, more than 2,500 people from 80 regions of Russia took part in the games. The competition includes three directions: science, applied skills, and artistic skills. The games are held in order to identify and support creatively gifted youth of Russia; and form moral values, strengthen the unified cultural space of the country, preserve and develop the cultural potential of the RF regions, create conditions for creative self-realization, and develop tourism and volunteer movement.
