Oleg Melnichenko Ordered to Install Bust of Georg Myasnikov in Penza

Oleg Melnichenko took part in the opening of the museum after reconstruction on Thursday, May 18, 2023, and stressed that Georg Myasnikov, the second secretary of the Penza Regional Committee of the CPSU not only created the Museum of One Painting, but also laid the foundations for the modern look of city.
Funds for modernization were allocated from the regional budget on behalf of the head of the Penza Oblast. Therefore, the year of the fortieth anniversary has become doubly significant for the one-of-a-kind exhibition site for the works of fine art.
The 19th-century building was completely renovated and re-equipped with multimedia devices. Systems of staged and interior lighting, video projection, sound reinforcement, control and automation of the show, and a microclimate complex have been installed.
The head of the region noted that the Penza museum is among the six remarkable museums in the world dedicated to one thing.
"You probably remember that in February 1983, Georg V. Myasnikov opened this museum," Oleg Melnichenko clarified. - Now the facility has experienced a rebirth, it was equipped with modern video and audio technique."
"The museum is located in the historical part of the city, of course, it is the pearl of our regional tourism. I hope that a large number of residents and guests of the Penza Oblast will be received here," the governor stressed.
Oleg Melnichenko instructed to install a bust of Georg Myasnikov in downtown Penza. The modernization of the facility means the preservation of cultural heritage and a tribute to the memory of an outstanding statesman of the Penza Oblast.
The Museum of One Painting received the work of the Flemish artist Paul de Vos "A Crow in Peacock Feathers". The painting was provided for the exhibition by the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.
