Culture 04.04.2024
On the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus, which was celebrated on April 2, Penza hosted the forum "Two Countries – One Destiny" with the participation of the Belarus delegation, the agreements on cooperation in the field of culture with the Brest region were signed.
Cultural workers from the Brest Region, headed by Sergey Panasyuk of the Department of Culture of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, paid a business visit to the Penza Region.
"We are implementing joint projects in industry, agriculture, education and culture and will continue to work on strengthening spiritual and moral ties, and patriotic education of young people. The Penza Oblast will continue to take an active part in international and interregional events of our countries aimed at preserving historical memory," Vice-Governor of the Penza Oblast Sergey Fedotov greeted the guests.
"We have the same fate and the same people, and we have not friendship, but kinship. I was asked today how I feel in the Penza Oblast, and I feel like home," said Sergey Panasyuk.
The Penza Oblast strengthens friendly and fraternal ties with all regions of the Republic of Belarus. Special relations connect our region with the Brest Oblast, as they are based on the memory of the heroic defense of the Brest Fortress.
"During one of our last visits to Belarus, we discussed the possibility of cooperation within a grant from the Russian Military Historical Society. It will be a scientific and practical conference. Today we discussed the issues that we will discuss, and the range of participants," said the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Penza Region Sergey Bychkov.
