The National Final of the International Russian Event Awards 2024 took place in Nizhny Novgorod from November 27 to November 29.
The Russian Event Awards is an industry award that is given based on the results of an open competition of projects for outstanding achievements in the field of event tourism.
Two projects from the Penza region are among the winners:
3rd place — "The best event for the elderly" — Silver Ball, Nikolsk, Penza Oblast;
2nd place — "The best tourist event in a hybrid format" — Second Fashion Week "Know Penza", Penza Oblast.
For reference:
In 2024, 574 projects from 63 regions of Russia, 4 projects from 2 regions of the Republic of Belarus and 1 project from South Ossetia were submitted for the award. 18 applications were submitted from the Penza Oblast.
In the district stage of the International Award, which was held in the city of Yoshkar-Ola, 235 projects from 12 regions of the Volga Federal District (VFD) were registered. The shortlist included 178 projects from the mentioned 12 regions, and 160 projects were selected for the final.
In the National Final, experts evaluate 317 projects from 56 regions of Russia, including six projects from the Penza Oblast, as well as three projects from the Republic of Belarus.
Penza Oblast was represented at the International Russian Event Awards 2024:
In the nomination "The best event for the elderly" is the "Silver Ball", which took place in Nikolsk, Penza Oblast;
In the nomination "The best tourist event in a hybrid format", the Second fashion Week "Know Penza", organized in Penza;
In the nomination "The best tourist event in the field of culture and art among cities with a population of up to 100,000 people" is the Kuprin Literary Festival, which was held in the village of Narovchat, Penza Oblast.
In the nomination "The best tourist event in the field of popular science tourism", the All-Russian Historical and Cultural Festival "Zolotaryovskoye Settlement -Crossroads of Civilizations" was awarded, Zolotaryovka, Penza Oblast.
The Regional military-patriotic festival "Suvorovskaya Kasha", which took place in the village of Lunino, Penza Oblast, was recognized in the category "Event in the field of patriotic tourism".
The 10th Inclusive International Festival of Creativity and Needlework "Kanitel", which was held in Penza, was awarded in the nomination "The best tourist event for the popularization of folk arts and crafts".
