The Abrikosov Museum of Confectionery Heritage exhibition has been established at the Penza College of Food Industry and Commerce, opening through the initiative of college instructor Kirill Glukhov with funding from the "Rosmolodyozh.Grants" program. According to the project creator's concept, the museum aims to inspire students toward professional development.
Organizers describe the project as an interactive museum showcasing the confectionery legacy of a Penza dynasty that became an exemplar of family entrepreneurship, business responsibility, employee care, and social contribution.
Among the first visitors to the newly opened museum was First Deputy Chairman of the Penza Oblast Government Oleg Yagov. "Today's event is the logical continuation of work that has developed for three years. It's important that even after 20-30 years our descendants will know about this famous person born on Penza soil, in Chembarsky Uyezd," he shared.
The opening also featured historian and dynasty descendant Dmitry Petrovich Abrikosov, who donated to the museum the first book he prepared under commission from the Russian Presidential Administration, along with an antique casket.
The event included guided tours for participants and masterclasses on making marshmallows, candies, and gingerbread for schoolchildren and students.
Background: The Abrikosov dynasty history represents a vivid example of entrepreneurial success, philanthropy, and family values. The Penza project incorporates interactive formats and workshops to professionally train future specialists for the confectionery industry. The name of the dynasty's founder, Aleksey Ivanovich Abrikosov, was assigned in May 2025 to the international confectionery skills festival "Sweet May."
