Representatives of the region took part in the event on the instruction of Governor Oleg Melnichenko. This third visit to the festival further confirms the strengthening of friendly ties between Penza Oblast and the Republic of Belarus.
The delegation, led by Minister of Culture and Tourism of Penza Oblast Sergei Bychkov, included Anna Nesterova, Head of the Penza City Culture Department; Maria Lapina, Deputy Chair of the Youth Council under the ministry; and Aleksei Lapin, Chair of the Penza Regional Guild of Ded Moroz (Father Frost) figures.
Festival guests witnessed a parade of stylized vehicles, visited a crafts fair and interactive areas, and explored the gastronomic zone.
One of the key events of the winter festival was a gathering and joint performance featuring Ded Moroz and Snegurochka (Snow Maiden) figures from the Brest, Pushcha, and Penza regions.
During the visit, the Penza delegation also familiarized themselves with the operations of cultural institutions in Brest, including the M. Gorky Brest Regional Library and the Brest Regional Philharmonic.
Maria and Aleksei Lapin conducted a master class for club institution specialists on organizing New Year's events, sharing their experience in holiday planning and discussing the specifics of costume creation.
It is worth recalling that the strengthening of friendship and partnership between the regions, including in the cultural sphere, has been developing since 2022 under the cooperation agreement between Penza Oblast and the Republic of Belarus. During this time, ongoing cultural exchange has been established in theatrical, museum, library, and other fields.
