A meeting of the International Discussion Club "VISION 3000" was held at the Moscow House of Nationalities and took place within the framework of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Representatives of Penza Region joined the discussion online. The event was held with the support of the Moscow Government (Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the City of Moscow). It was dedicated to presenting successful practices in the development of the tourism industry in Russian regions, as well as discussing tourism as a driving force for the economic growth of Russian regions, a tool for strengthening interethnic harmony, developing international contacts, and cross-border humanitarian cooperation.
The moderator of the discussion was Alfia Amirova, President of the Regional Public Organization "International Union of Women." The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, foreign embassies, executive authorities, public organizations, and the scientific and expert community.
In her speech, Svetlana Romanova, First Deputy Head of the Representative Office of Penza Oblast, outlined the key vectors of the region's tourism development: cultural, historical, recreational, and industrial tourism, and also presented interregional educational routes.
Elena Malysheva, Chief Specialist-Expert of the Department for Tourism and Hospitality Industry Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Penza Region, revealed the formula of Penza hospitality. She focused in detail on event tourism, craft centers, and gastronomic festivals, spoke about popular and new routes, and the main attractions and festivals of the region. The speaker also explained why Penza Oblast is called the "Literary Empire" and presented the main literary museums, routes, and festivals of the region.
In addition, Elena Malysheva presented to the meeting participants a new interregional automobile route "From Nizhny Novgorod Shrines to Saratov Latitudes," which was published this year on the national tourism portal "путешествуем.рф". The fourth day of this road trip is dedicated to Penza.
The Penza residents invited everyone to get acquainted with the traditions of the peoples of Penza Oblast. This summer, the region will host the Second International Festival of Ethnic Creativity "Abashevskie Uzory" and the All-Russian Rural Sabantuy. The events contribute to the achievement of the goals and objectives of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality."
